A New York pastor who allowed Sabrina Carpenter to film a music video in his church has been removed from his position in New York.
New York AP – The leader of a New York church where pop star Sabrina Carpenter filmed a pornographic video for a music video was removed from his position on Monday after church officials said an investigation revealed other wrongdoings.
Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello has been relieved of his “pastoral or administrative duties” at his church in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, Bishop Robert Brennan said in a statement released by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn.
Gigantiello did not respond to emails and Facebook messages seeking comment Monday.
Released on Oct. 31, 2023, the music video for “Wings” revolves around a group of men who sexually assault a carpenter before they die a horrific death.
From 2019 to 2021, the monsignor also transferred $1.9 million in parish funds to a bank account linked to Frank Carone, Adams’ former chief of staff, Brennan said.
